Loan Forgiveness Delayed, Facing Legal Challenges
The Biden Administration released a video of the loan forgiveness application on Twitter, but has not opened the application up to the public.
The application will not require users to log in nor upload any documents.
The White House also filed its defenses against several lawsuits presented by GOP-led states challenging the legality of the forgiveness. The lawsuits argue the president doesn’t have the authority to forgive the debt and also cited potential tax revenue risks for some states.
The paperwork filed challenging the lawsuits revealed that no loans would be forgiven until after October 23.
